The Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa is also known as Psilocybe rhododendronensis (common among rhododendron gardens and nurseries and flood plains near river estuaries).
It is one of the rarest species known. As far as we know, XXXXXX is the only shop that offers this extraordinary strain on the internet.

The Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa is just like the Psilocybe azurescens very suitable for outdoor growing on wood or cardboard chips.
The mushroom comes from northern California (Eureka/Arcada) and the north of British Columbia, Canada.

In the northwestern parts of Europe, the best time to start cultivating outdoors is in spring. In southern Europe, with a warmer climate, the best time to start cultivating is from September until December.
The cap of the mushroom is 1-4 x 3,5 cm and deep chestnut brown, fading into a pale tan or yellowish brown or grayish white in drying.

The stem is 30-70 mm long and about 2-4 mm thick. It is straight and enlarged at the base with fibrils. When bruised, the stem turns blueish.
The spore print is purplish brown.

Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa is a native species Northern California (USA) and in the north of British Columbia in Canada, first documented in 1995. Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa has chestnut brown cap with 1.4 to 3.5 cm size that fades to yellowish brown when dried. The stem is 30 to 70 cm long with a yellow brown color tending to strongly bluish to indigo black when handled. Regarding its potency, Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa are said to be mildly active, but they lose 70% or more of their potency in drying. Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa is also known as Psilocybe rhododendronensis (or blue haired psilocybe) since is frequently found in coastal rhododendron gardens and nurseries and also in flood plains in river estuaries. Although its natural habitat is very similar to Psilocybe azurescens, it differs in differs in several significant macroscopic features, being also smaller than P. azurescens. Psilocybe cyanofibrillosa harvest season in the North Hemisphere is from September to December (the “bed” should be started in the spring).

Produces 2-3 flushes of mushrooms every season and the harvest increases year after year!
