The story is told in 176 "coffee table book" size pages and includes 250 full-color illustrations. The history begins with one of the earliest "Acid Test" posters, and ends with a picture of a full wall display of Psychedelic Posters at a Bonhams auction which Ted conducted in London. The book shows how this art-form evolved over the past 30 years, and includes examples from the work of most of the major psychedelic poster artists, from Mouse, Griffin, Kelley, Tuten and Moscoso to the more recent works of Coop, Kozik, Forbes and Arminski.There is also an appendix on "Collecting Psychedelic Posters", and a helpful bibliography.
More than 35 pages are devoted to introducing many of the brilliant British Psychedelic Posters and artists of the 1960s. Most other books on the subject (including the Art of Rock) have largely ignored those brilliant and important works.
