Her er et foredrag jeg forestiller mig kunne interessere visse mennesker herinde. Det foregår på Københavns Universitet på Amager i det der nu bliver kaldt de gamle bygninger.
The Danish Society for Philosophy and Psychology presents:
Anomalous Experiences and Deep Hypnosis
By Extel Cardeña Professor in Parapsychology, Lund University, Sweden Ever since the exuberant collective healings of Mesmer in the Paris of the late eighteenth century, much has been speculated and researched about that collection of phenomena and techniques that we refer to as hypnosis. While there is growing interest on topics such as the therapeutic uses of hypnosis, other areas have been neglected in contemporary research, among them spontaneous anomalous experiences within the hypnotic context. An anomalous experience can be defined as a statistically uncommon alteration of consciousness (e.g., synesthesia), or one that, although not uncommon, seems to deviate from the culture's conception of reality (e.g., psi phenomena; see CARDENA, E., LYNN, S.J., & KRIPPNER, S. (Eds.). Varieties of anomalous experience: Examining the scientific evidence. Washington, DC: American Psychological Association (2000)) The gist of this presentation will revolve around anomalous experiences within the hypnotic context, including some recently published data by the author, after a brief discussion of mesmerism, hypnosis and psi phenomena. Professor Cardeña will furthermore speak about the chair’s agenda. October 26 at 7.00 – 9 pm Gammel KUA, Lecture room 10.1.22 Entry: 20 kr for non-members.
