Hello,
This message is to announce the existance of a new internet radio station:
Spiritplants Radio.
Secondly, it is to notify you that I am broadcasting on Spiritplants Radio every
friday!
For this and next friday (march 12th and 19th) I have prepared an ayahuasca and
shamanic orientated program of which details can be read below.
First of all: SPIRITPLANTS RADIO
About the radio:
Spiritplants Radio is an open project led by a bunch of people from different
parts of the world, joined by the internet and their common interest in
ethnobotanicals. The radio doesn't have a particular concept or defined genre
but mainly plays psychedelic music. Among ambient, trance, ethno, rock, dub and
reggae tunes you can occasionally hear lectures by people like Terence McKenna,
Robert Anton Wilson, Alan Watts and others. The radio is of course commercial
free and you would rarely hear the voice of a DJ but when you do you will surely
be surprised.
How to listen:
You can connect to the radio with most players that support streaming media. If
you have WinAmp or something that can play winamp playlists simply follow this
link:
http://yage.net:9000/listen.pls Otherwise find "Open URL", "Play Location" or similar in the menu of your player
and type in:
http://yage.net:9000 What's on:
Go to
http://yage.net:9000 at any time to see what's playing at the moment. You
can also check out the weekly schedule at
http://spfradio.yage.net/schedule.htmwith descriptions of most of the shows and links to the playlists.
Stream format:
We're broadcasting mp3 (LAME) via a SHOUTcast server at different bitrates
depending on the current DJ and listeners. Most DJs broadcast their shows either
at low bitrate (32 or 40 Kbps) or repeat them at low and high (96 or 128 Kbps)
so don't worry if you're on dialup. Stream is usually running 24/7 but might
occasionally be down between some shows.
IRC channel:
If you want to meet the DJs and most of the listeners or simply chat with
whoever is online, join the SpiritPlants chatroom. To chat through an IRC client
follow this link: irc//irc.bctel.org/spiritplants or connect to server
irc.yage.net or irc.bctel.org, port 6667 (normal) or 994 (SSL secure), channel

This and next fridays show: (mar 12th and mar 19th)
FEATURING:
--- Kajuyali Tsamani - Ayahuasca Ceremony --- (duration 1:13:40)
Kajuyali Tsamani is a Jaguar-shaman who works with Ayahuasca and Yopo. He is
initiated by shamans from different tribes from the Amazon jungle (Inga, Kofan,
Siona, Muinane and Uitoto), Los Llanos de Orinoco (Siguani) and the Andes
(Kogi).
As director of the *Colombian Fundac?on de Investigaciones Chamanistas*
(Foundation for Shamanic Research) he is working on the project 'Nabi Nunhue'
(House of the Jaguar), which is devoted to the conservation of the tropical
rainforest, the knowledge of healing plants and of shamanic medicine.
This CD is made from the recordings of the singing of Kajuyali Tsamani and the
music that was played at an Ayahuasca ritual during the tour of Kajuyali Tsamani
in october 2003. A friend made the composition in a professional studio.
--- DJ Maya - Magic Mushroom --- (duration 1:12:10)
This is one of my own productions.
A beautifull non-stop compilation of some of the most relaxing and mind warming
ethno-ambient tunes I have come across, carefully blended into a deep and
comfortable journey, to Feed Your Mind...
--- Terence McKenna - The State of the Stone '95 --- (duration 1:17:25)
Recorded in San Francisco at the Whole Life Expo. Terence "preaches to the
converted" and tries out his latest, strangest ideas on an appreciative
audience.
Terence McKenna, enthnobotanist and proponent of the psychedelic society,
author, word wizard, art historian, examines time and its mysteries, the nature
of language, the techniques of ecstasy, high technology and virtual cyberspace,
the role of hallucinogenic plants in shamanism and the evolution of human
cultures, and the foundations of post-modern spirituality.
--- Frozen Ants - Subsurfing --- (duration 0:53:07)
Ethno Chillout Ambient. Tracks shuffle along with the emphasis on atmospheric
effects and dub echoes. Beats are present but not so much as to take over the
songs. On this album the bassline carries the tracks along.
Released on the Apollo label, offshoot of R&S, who at the time were releasing
quality record upon quality record, this is one of them.
--- Terrence McKenna - Archaic Revival --- (duration 0:12:02)
In the twentieth century a global civilization has lost its bearing, and as we
look back in time for a model to anchor us we have to go back before history to
around twelve or fifteen thousand years ago. The important part of the human
potential movement and the New Age is the reempowerment of ritual, the
rediscovery of shamanism, the re-cognition of psychedelics, and the importance
of the Goddess....
--- DJ Maya - Transformation --- (duration 1:18:02)
Another one of my own productions.
A cultural journey through the mind invoking archaic and ancient subconscious
memories. Wonderfull songs, carefully layered on a background of singing birds,
running water, crickets...
--- Adele van der Plas (attorney) - Ayahuasca Conference (Amsterdam 2002) -
International Legal Aspects of Ayahuasca --- (duration 0:53:04)
In the criminal procedure against the Santo Daime churches in the Netherlands,
the District Attorney delivered an official letter from Mr. Herbert Schaepe,
Secretary of the United Nations International Narcotics Control Board. The
letter answered some questions from the Dutch Ministry of Public Health about
the use of a preparation called 'ayahuasca' by religious groups in the
Netherlands.
No plants (natural materials) containing DMT are at present controlled under the
1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances. Consequently, preparations (e.g.
decoctions) made of these plants, including ayahuasca are not under
international control and, therefore, not subject to any of the articles of the
1971 Convention.
